ARDELT delivers large crane to Rhenus Weserport – a milestone after the restart
Eberswalde / Bremen, October 2025 – At the end of October, ARDELT successfully handed over a new Tukan K double jib crane to Rhenus Weserport. In future, the crane will be used continuously in steelworks operations to unload a wide variety of ships and is designed for maximum availability, efficiency and durability.
With a lifting capacity of up to 63 tonnes and a maximum radius of 55 meters, the new Tukan K is one of the largest cranes in the current ARDELT portfolio. Its robust design and precise controls enable maximum handling performance, even under demanding operating conditions. Thanks to its integrated hopper, the Tukan achieves a handling capacity of up to 2,300 tons per hour and fits seamlessly into the steelworks’ conveyor system.
The successful handover marks an important milestone: ARDELT has once again demonstrated its ability to plan, manufacture, assemble and commission complex harbor cranes on time, to the highest technical standards and in full quality. Following the new start in 2023, ARDELT has now grown to over 70 employees and has developed into a highly specialized medium-sized company with a global focus.
Special thanks go to Weserport GmbH for their trust and partnership, especially during a phase when ARDELT was still a small, newly formed team.
Today, ARDELT has a clear mission to meet highly specific customer requirements and set standards in modern port crane construction.
