We raise efficiency and safety to a new level

Ardelt Kranbau specializes in lifting and transporting heavy loads in ports, terminals and shipyards worldwide.

We move loads.

All over the
world.

Ardelt Kranbau GmbH can look back on over 100 years of history and was founded in 1902 by the engineer Robert Ardelt. Starting out as a technical engineering office, the company developed into Robert Ardelt & Söhne Maschinenfabrik and in 1932 developed the patented double jib luffing system for gantry slewing cranes.

After the Second World War, the company was renamed VEB Kranbau Eberswalde in 1948 and became part of TAKRAF in the 1970s. Even during the pre-reunification period, a large proportion of the crane systems produced were exported worldwide. After the collapse of the GDR, the company traded as Vulkan Kocks GmbH, KE Kranbau Eberswalde, Kirow Ardelt GmbH and finally as Kocks Ardelt Kranbau GmbH, which had to file for insolvency on 22.04.22. By this time, around 4500 crane systems had been delivered worldwide.

On 01.08.23, the company was taken over by Mr. Uwe Grünhagen, who is the new managing partner of the newly founded ARDELT KRANBAU GMBH. With the takeover of the new company, know-how was secured in the form of employees and product rights to slewing cranes and feeder servers. We continue to guarantee our valued customers high-quality, durable and highly reliable crane systems, accompanied by first-class service and engineering.
